Introduction:
Blood Sport is an Online Gaming Community. We are a group of friends that
enjoy playing MMO and RPG games, and want to expand that experience and share
it with new friends. Most importantly, Blood Sport is a family. If you take
care of the Family, the Family takes care of you.
To better serve our community we have adopted these Bylaws so all members
can understand what we consider the appropriate behavior for personal and group
activities, as well as guidance on the structure of the Guild.
Code of Conduct:
Behavior
No member shall conduct themselves improperly in the general gaming area,
chat, and Ventrilo. Improper conduct includes anything that would make a player
never want to group with you again, thus reflecting poorly upon Blood Sport.
Guild Chatter is the loose banter between friends. If this banter makes a
member uncomfortable, in anyway, they are to immediately contact the Social
Officer (aka The Chancellor), or if during PVP/Raids contact the Military
Officer (aka Battle Master). The Chancellor will inform the offending member of
the incident and discuss it with them, and be given a first time warning if
appropriate. If a member uses any Chat or Ventrilo Channel to spread
unsolicited malice in any form, that is clearly not role-play, this may also be
grounds for a first time warning. (see Disciplinary Actions bellow).
Disciplinary Actions:
When needed, a 3-Strike system will be in place for disciplinary actions.
This is a very up front and simple way to ensure that players are being
respectful to each other and are in no way harming the guild as a whole.
·
First
Strike – Warning. Any misconduct or misbehavior will be brought
to the attention of the appropriate Commanding Officer (Chancellor or Battle
Master). The Commanding officer will then discuss the issue with the party
involved. If needed, a warning will be issued. Those members with a First
Strike warning on record are still considered in good standing with the Guild –
we all make mistakes. First Strike status is a life-long stats; however the
emperor may be petitioned to removed it – only he can do so. But beware, difficult
trials may be the only path to freedom.
·
Second
Strike – Restrictions. If the behavior persists The Commanding Officer
has the power to restrict the resources available to the member, until he/she
shows that they have corrected the behavior. Once this is done the member will
once again be allowed to use guild resources and returns to First Strike status.
While the member has Second Strike status they are a “Member on Watch” with no
resource access.
·
Third
Strike – The Vote. A third strike involves a majority vote among both
Social & Military officers (neither the Chancellor nor the Battle Master
have a vote, the Emperor has the tie vote, as well as complete veto power on
the vote). If the vote passes the member will be banned from Blood Sport. If the
vote fails, the member will have Third Strike status and they are a member in
“Poor Standing.”
·
If the
member commits yet another infraction the Emperor will be duty bound to ban the
member from Blood Sport.
o
Member on Watch =Resource Restrictions
o
Poor Standing = Resource Restrictions,
Defrocked 1 rank
§
If Officer is defrocked down to NCO, an
immediate vote will be held to replace the fallen Hero.
Mission Statement - The Two-Pronged Guild:
Our goal on SWTOR is to offer a great playing experience in a group setting,
no matter what style of play you prefer. Blood Sport wanted to create something
unique that can provide each member with this experience. That said, we have
created a Two-Pronged guild. This is a way to offer both Depth and Culture to
the SWTOR experience. There are two “Prongs” to the guild: (1) Military, and
(2) Social.
It must be stressed that the
following applies to Duties/Roles of the officers ONLY, and does not limit how
any member chooses to play their character.
Military: We all
know what the Military Prong is about; it’s the whole reason we play MMO’s and
SWTOR. Flashpoints, Warzones, and epic PVP/E battles. Everything we love about
Thowing down will be led by the Military team of leaders, led by the Battle
Master and his Lieutenants. This team will gather and lead important
flashpoints, planetary assaults, and raid parties. They will lead us into
victory over the Republic. The Battle Master also power to court marshal
(disciplinary actions involving PVP, Raids, or Guild military events).
Social: Everybody
knows what its like to be a new player in a new game not knowing what the heck
is going on, or to see a guild fall apart because of abused guild resources,
structural chaos, and over/under recruitment. This aspect of the guild will be
managed by the Social team, led by the Chancellor and his Senators. This team
will manage/balance recruitment, guild bank resources, Social disciplinary
measures, and will make sure that new members feel welcome and assist in
helping new players adapt to the game. The Imperial Senate even votes on
matters of importance to the Guild; however The Imperial Army/Navy (Battle
Master and his Lieutenants) may throw a Military Coup at any time to over-rule
a passed Vote. (must be unanimous).
Once a member is chosen to become an officer in the guild (by the
Emperor himself!) the member will have the choice of Joining the Imperial
Senate as a Senator, or the Imperial Army/Navy as a Lieutenant. The Chancellor
and Battle Master will then assign their duties and roles as the guild needs.
Again, it must be stressed, that this
Two-Pronged system relates to Guild duties and responsibilities only, and does
not limit any member in where and how they wish to play – As Rome of old,
Senators will lead Armies onto the battlefield also.
This system does 2 things. First gives an easy structure for the
guild allowing guild leaders to easily run the guild while still having fun.
Secondly, and most importantly, this system provides both depth and gives a
CULTURE to the guild. This allows all members to bring a new level of RPG to
the MMO style game. Not only did you just finish that flashpoint, but you just
voted as Senator to save up resources instead of take the next planet – but
wait, the Imperial Army just blockaded the Senate building and conducted a
temp. Military coup to overturn that vote…WAR it is!!!
There is no limit to the story telling and depth of culture. Who
knows, the Emperor may even convene a Dark Council, or appoint a Hand! There
are no limits and the SW Universe is vast.
